Coturnix Quail Hatching Eggs
If you’re thinking about raising your own quail, starting with hatching eggs is one of the most rewarding ways to build your flock.
Here at Cumberland Quail & Farm, we collect eggs daily from our Coturnix breeding groups on the South Cumberland Plateau. Watching those tiny chicks hatch and grow into your own covey is one of the most satisfying parts of raising quail.
One of my favorite parts of raising quail is watching new chicks hatch. It never really gets old, and I love helping other people experience that same excitement when they start their own covey.
Why People Choose Hatching Eggs
• Build your flock quickly
• Hatch multiple birds at once
• Select future breeders
• Experience the full quail lifecycle
Coturnix quail eggs typically hatch in 17–18 days, making them one of the fastest poultry species to reproduce.
Policies & What to Expect with Hatching Eggs
All hatching egg sales are final, and I’m not able to offer refunds or replacements for eggs that do not hatch.
Because there are so many factors involved once eggs leave the farm, I want to be upfront that I’m not able to offer refunds or replacements for eggs that do not hatch. What I can promise is that the eggs you receive are fresh, fertile, and collected from healthy breeding birds here on our farm.
Every order also includes a simple hatching guide with the same basic steps we use here at Cumberland Quail & Farm to help you get started.
New to Incubating Quail Eggs?
If you’re hatching quail eggs for the first time, don’t worry — Coturnix quail are actually one of the easiest birds to incubate successfully.
Their eggs hatch quickly, usually in about 17–18 days, and once you understand the basics of temperature, humidity, and egg turning, the process becomes very straightforward.
To help new quail keepers get started, we’ve put together a few simple guides based on what has worked well here on the farm.
You can explore those here:
• How to Incubate Coturnix Quail Eggs
• Day-by-Day Quail Incubation Timeline
• Common Incubation Mistakes to Avoid
These guides walk through the same basic process we follow here at Cumberland Quail & Farm when hatching our own chicks.
